Max Sort Codes Quick Reference Guide v2.0
This user guide describes the guidelines for Max Sort Codes for Royal Mail Labels.
Max Sort Codes for Royal Mail International Business shipping labels (USA only)
When printing Max Sort shipping labels to send shipments to the USA a sort code will be displayed according to postcode. The sort code is the 3-character IATA (international Air Transport Association) code of the airport that the shipment will be sent to for sorting and onward routing in the USA. The customer will use this to sort Max Sort shipments before Royal Mail collect them, so that all shipments to each Airport are sorted together. i.e. all shipments to LAX need to be sorted together.
If the shipment is classified as NDX (Non-Documents) and therefore 'Dutiable', the USA destination shipping labels for these services will display a letter 'D'.
Note: If the shipment is DOX and so non-dutiable this will not be displayed on the label.
